Representative Experience:

  • Assisted client in securing electrical power transmission line easements by negotiation and condemnation. Despite having an original list of 80 parcels of land, the team settled the majority on a compressed timeline and went to hearing on just four parcels, all of which were ultimately resolved in the client’s favor.
  • Served as bond and disclosure counsel to a metropolitan-area county on publicly offered special obligation bonds in the amount of $123.6 million. The bond proceeds will be used to finance major improvements and renovations to a convention center. The financing was well publicized and involved complex considerations relating to the tax-exempt status of the bonds.
  • Served as bond counsel for the issuance of $132 million in Chapter 100 Bonds to fund the development of a mixed-use retail and residential apartment complex.
  • Served as bond counsel for the issuance of $14.7 million in Chapter 100 Bonds to fund the development of industrial warehousing and manufacturing buildings.
  • Served as company's counsel for the issuance of Chapter 100 Bonds to fund the development of a new store location in Missouri for an international wholesale company.
