Join Lathrop GPM for Trustee Bootcamp, a series of four seminars that will equip trustees with the tools, knowledge and resources needed to succeed as a fiduciary. 

Session 3 - Build Your Knowledge: The Duty of Prudence

Marya Robben & Jim Thomson will provide an overview and explanation of the trustee’s duty of prudence as it is applied in Minnesota, with particular focus on the prudent investor rule. They will then discuss common scenarios that can lead to violation of the duty, the potential consequences of a violation, and tips for successfully navigating tricky situations involving the duty.

Session 4 - Identify Your Team: Avoiding and Navigating Litigation

Lathrop GPM trust and estate litigator, Brian Dillon will discuss the circumstances that commonly subject trustees to legal claims. They will also provide practical tips fiduciaries should follow to minimize litigation risk.
