Lathrop GPM Partner Edward Tully Elected Fellow of American College of Trust and Estate Counsel
MINNEAPOLIS (November 10, 2023) — Lathrop GPM LLP is pleased to announce that Edward Tully, a partner in the firm's Minneapolis office, has been accepted to the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) as a Fellow, effective November 10, 2023.
Established in 1949, ACTEC is a national, nonprofit association of approximately 2,400 lawyers and law professors elected by their peers with a strong professional reputation and experience in the preparation of wills and trusts, estate planning, probate, trust administration and related practice areas. ACTEC aims to improve and reform probate, trust and tax laws, procedures, and professional responsibility.
To qualify as a Fellow with ACTEC, lawyers must be nominated by an attorney, not within their own firms, and pass through careful reviews by both state and national membership selection committees. Nominees must have at least 10 years of experience in trust and estate law, and must demonstrate a high-level of performance in the industry as well as a dedication to community enrichment through teaching, writing, and speaking.

Tully practices in the areas of estate planning, tax planning, business succession planning, and probate and trust administration. While Tully has significant experience and expertise in all areas of estate planning, he spends most of his time working with high net worth individuals, families, and business owners on strategies designed to reduce exposure to gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer (GST) tax.
