Tedrick A. Housh, III

Mr. Housh has an extensive employment litigation practice. He handles matters involving all types of discrimination, the Family Medical Leave Act and other laws affecting the workplace. He frequently litigates covenants not to compete and matters involving the use and misuse of trade secret data, requiring a special emphasis on electronic discovery and related issues. He also deals with employee benefits disputes and other issues related to the workplace. In addition to state and federal cases, he has litigated disputes before the National Association of Securities Dealers, National Credit Union Administration Board and the Office of Special Counsel of the United States government. He has both bench and jury trial experience in the state and federal courts and has argued appeals before the Missouri Court of Appeals, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Kansas Supreme Court.

Mr. Housh serves as a leader of the firm’s work on Data Security Breach matters, assisting clients with the technological, logistical and legal issues arising from the loss or disposal of personally identifiable information and patient health information.

Mr. Housh counsels business clients on personnel issues and employment matters. He has negotiated collective bargaining agreements, as well as the ensuing construction and application of such agreements. He assists clients in the drafting of employee handbooks and responses to Missouri service letter requests. He has engaged in the management of internal investigations of allegations of discrimination and hostile work environments and provided advice on a myriad of other work-related issues. He also has experience in insurance defense matters and general commercial litigation. He is a frequent presenter on the impact of social media on the law and the workplace.
