Brent Baldwin, Bill Beck Named to Lawdragon 500
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (October 27, 2008) – Lathrop Gage attorneys Brent Baldwin and Bill Beck have been named to Lawdragon’s fourth-annual Leading Lawyers list, which recognizes the country’s top 500 legal professionals. Included for consideration in the list are the nation's top private attorneys from a wide range of practices, in-house counsel, law professors, judges and neutrals, government attorneys, and public interest lawyers.
Lawdragon creates its guide using a combination of online balloting and independent research; its reporters and editors interview thousands of lawyers to get input on attorneys in various regions and practices. The list is not limited to attorneys in private practice, but includes judges, professors and in-house counsel. Fewer than .01 percent of all lawyers in the U.S. ultimately will be named among the 500 Leading Lawyers.
Mr. Baldwin has more than 25 years of experience as a civil trial lawyer, including work in professional liability, products liability, all phases of catastrophic injury work and complex civil litigation. A Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers, he has concluded more than 100 jury trials and appeals and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and Missouri/Kansas Super Lawyers. He is the partner-in-charge of Lathrop Gage’s St. Louis office.
Mr. Beck has 28 years of experience as a trial lawyer. His national practice consists of trials, arbitrations, administrative proceedings, mediations and negotiations to resolve high-stakes, technical and complex disputes involving environmental liability and insurance coverage. He has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA and Missouri/Kansas Super Lawyers. Based in the firm’s Kansas City office, Beck has served on Lathrop Gage’s executive committee since 2004.
