Firm Counsels Rockhill Holding Company in Acquisition of RTW, Inc.

12/19/2007

Lathrop Gage served as legal counsel to Rockhill Holding Company ("Rockhill") in its acquisition of RTW, Inc., which was announced this week.

Member Thomas H. Stahl and Of Counsel Kimberly A. Wingate led the firm's legal team in the matter.  They are members of the Corporate and General Business practice group at Lathrop Gage, and practice in the firm's Kansas City office.

Rockhill Holding Company, a Kansas City-based insurance holding company writing specialty property and casualty business, and RTW, Inc., a leading provider of products and services to manage insured and self-insured workers' compensation, disability and absence programs, completed the merger under which Rockhill acquired RTW as part of a reverse triangular merger. RTW will continue to operate as a separate wholly-owned subsidiary of Rockhill.

RTW, Inc., based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, through its wholly-owned insurance subsidiaries, writes workers' compensation insurance for employers primarily in Minnesota, Colorado and Michigan, and is growing in new markets including Florida, Texas, Kansas, Connecticut, North Carolina and Iowa. In addition, RTW has expanded and provides non-insurance products and service offerings nationally, across many industries.
