John M. Storey

As the Chief Human Resources Officer for Lathrop Gage, John Storey is responsible for leading the people programs and practices for the Firm. This includes ensuring that the Firm is maximizing the potential of its people by overseeing talent acquisition, management and development programs; employee payroll and benefits; and employee compensation and reward systems and programs. As a member of the senior administration team, Mr. Storey is responsible for the overall alignment of administrative programs and services to the strategic direction of the Firm.

Prior to joining Lathrop Gage, Mr. Storey worked for nearly 25 years in senior human resources management capacities, primarily in the financial services industry.  This includes 12 years as the Executive Director of Human Resources for JP Morgan’s Retirement Plan Services Division and 10 years as the Director of Human Resources for Commerce Bank – both organizations based in the Kansas City metropolitan area.

Mr. Storey is a consummate human resources professional, recognized for his accomplishments in helping organizations with aligning strategic initiatives to achieve business results; organizational design; change/culture management; diversity initiatives; policy development and programs that maximize and engage talented people within diverse organizations.
