Douglas W. Link
Doug Link’s practice is focused on patent prosecution. His experience includes drafting and prosecuting U.S., international, and PCT patents. His specialty lies in medical, mechanical and electrical engineering technology, with an emphasis on power generation, high-tech electronics, software, medical devices and business methods.
Doug’s practice further includes experience in the post-AIA invalidity review proceedings at the USPTO with a focus on inter partes review. He has aided in the preparation, analysis, drafting, strategy, filing and prosecution of more than 55 inter partes review petitions related to high-tech systems and processes.
Along with patent prosecution and post-AIA review proceedings, Doug has extensive experience relating to corporate IP management, patent portfolio management, client counseling, inventor consultation and federal litigation infringement claims and defense.
Doug served as a law clerk at Boulder office of Lathrop Gage in 2011. He also completed an internship with a San Diego-based law firm and worked on several patent infringement defense cases before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. During his undergraduate study, Doug worked with a nationally known engineering firm assisting in the design and development of digital control systems for power plants.
Doug is an Eagle Scout and enjoys golfing, skiing and football.
