Bobby Sahachartsiri

Bobby Sahachartsiri is an associate in the firm's Boston office who focuses his practice on patent prosecution in the biotechnology and life sciences industries.

Prior to joining Lathrop Gage, Bobby served as an attorney for a New York City intellectual property law firm. He has experience drafting patent applications and responses to office actions in the U.S., as well as drafting instructions on how to proceed with prosecution in foreign jurisdictions.

During law school, Bobby worked as an intellectual property consultant for a clinical-stage public biotechnology company, where he managed a global patent portfolio, which included over 400 patents and applications of 43 patent families in the areas of antibody mimetics, immuno-oncology, and respiratory diseases. He also prepared new patent applications, developed worldwide filing and prosecution strategy, and oversaw day-to-day prosecution matters. As a Student Attorney in the Vaccine Injury Litigation Clinic, he advocated and represented petitioners in trial proceedings before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. Bobby was also an editorial staff member on the American Intellectual Property Law Association Quarterly Journal.

Bobby’s scientific research experience spans several laboratories and a broad range of disciplines, including molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, biochemistry, and synthetic biology. He was actively engaged in scientific research at University of California – Los Angeles, University of California – San Francisco, and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland.
