Tina Gardner Fowler

Experience
Ms. Fowler has experience representing clients in a wide variety of industries, including health care, manufacturing, communications, transportation, retailing, and professional services. Her practice is primarily composed of employment-related matters, including wrongful discharge, discrimination, covenants not to compete, drug testing, and practice before the EEOC and the State Human Rights Agencies. She has successfully defended numerous complaints of alleged employment discrimination, including complaints from charge to jury verdict, and has handled court and jury trials in federal and state court. She has responded to administrative inquiries before federal, state and local agencies, and argued in front of the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Ms. Fowler's litigation and counseling experience includes sexual harassment, Americans with Disabilities Act, race, age, sex, national origin, and religious discrimination, Family and Medical Leave Act and related issues, wage and hour laws, hiring and reference procedures, employee discipline and termination, and employee drug and alcohol testing policies and procedures. She conducts internal employee training and investigations for numerous businesses throughout Southwest Missouri, and continuing legal education seminars on employment-related issues. Ms. Fowler has drafted employee handbooks, personnel policies, and employment agreements to meet the needs unique to each client and circumstance.
