Scott J. Dickenson

Mr. Dickenson’s practice is comprised of representing clients on a broad range of legal issues including commercial litigation, product liability and toxic tort defense, general tort litigation, business litigation, and labor and employment. In addition to representing large companies, Mr. Dickenson also represents small and regulated businesses and professional groups in disputes with federal and state government entities in matters ranging from civil complaints to government enforcement actions. Mr. Dickenson concentrates his practice on complex, document intensive litigation utilizing computer assisted discovery techniques to effectively identify and use supporting documentation to advise clients. His experience includes:

  • Representation of accountant tax preparers in civil action for injunctions under 26 USC 7407, 26 USC 7408, and 26 USC 7402. 
  • Representation of major pasta manufacturer in litigation resulting from the rebuild of manufacturing equipment. 
  • Representation of nursing homes and residential care facilities in disputes with various regulatory and enforcement agencies. 
  • Representation of product manufacturers in large multi-party litigation throughout the country. 
  • Litigation of claims arising from alleged wrongful discharge.
Prior to joining Lathrop & Gage, Mr. Dickenson worked at Shook Hardy & Bacon where he specialized in the medical and scientific defense of civil litigation as part of their product liability division.

Mr. Dickenson served as an Adjunct Professor at St. Louis University teaching Appellate Practice. He represents Meramec Township on the Republican Central Committee of St. Louis County.
