Robin E. Stewart
Robin Stewart concentrates her practice representing clients in complex commercial litigation matters throughout the country. She has defended multiple actions involving consumer protection laws, failure to warn cases, breach of contract claims, and matters involving an alleged violation of antitrust laws. Ms. Stewart has successfully defended and prosecuted jury and bench trials in multiple jurisdictions in a variety of commercial litigation matters.
In addition to her litigation practice, Robin founded and currently chairs Lathrop & Gage LLP's E-Discovery: Data, Records and Information Group. As part of Robin’s E-Discovery Practice, she frequently advises clients in all aspects of e-discovery ranging from data retention policies to early case assessment, vendor selection, outsourcing, collection, review, and data production. Robin is adept at formulating cost efficient and effective approaches to handling client data and meeting discovery obligations. Clients and peers frequently seek her advice on approaches to litigation preparedness and her creative ability to turn a burdensome and costly process into a competitive advantage. In this capacity, she has done substantial work in coordinating with clients’ Information Technology departments, multiple vendors, outsourcing companies, client employees, in-house counsel, and opposing counsel. In addition, she has extensive experience working with multiple litigation support vendors and document review systems. She keeps abreast of the e-discovery case law and continues to learn of the latest technologies available.
Robin is frequently sought out to speak and provide leadership on E-Discovery matters of all types.
