Experience
Ms. McNamara has represented clients in employment matters throughout the United States. She has successfully defended (from charge to jury verdict) a wide array of complaints of alleged employment discrimination and has handled numerous court and jury trials in federal and state court. Ms. McNamara served for eight years as a member of Lathrop & Gage's Executive Committee, and has served as Chair of the Labor & Employment Department.
Her litigation and counseling experience includes sexual harassment, Americans with Disabilities Act, race, age, sex, national origin, and religious discrimination, Family and Medical Leave Act and related issues, wage and hour laws, hiring and reference procedures, employee discipline and termination, and employee drug and alcohol testing policies and procedures.
Ms. McNamara conducts internal employee training and investigations, and continuing legal education seminars on employment-related issues. She has been a guest lecturer on legal issues at University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, University of Kansas, and Maple Woods Community College.
