Aaron Bradford Analyzes IP Trends, Enforcement and Litigation for Southwest Colorado Bar
Lathrop & Gage attorney Aaron Bradford (Intellectual Property - Denver) will present "Intellectual Property: Helping Clients Protect and Capitalize upon Core Assets," November 13 in Durango, Colo., at the Southwest Colorado Bar Association's annual conference. The Southwestern Bar covers the Western region of the state as well as the Four Corners Area, where Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah meet. This year's conference is titled "Law in the Trenches."
Mr. Bradford will present on how intellectual property is the engine of American economic growth and the fuel that drives many small and large businesses. He will address how entities should examine the technology, symbology and expression that preceded their efforts as a business. This will include ways to help clients identify protectable IP and the strategies available for identifying existing IP that might impact a particular business decision. Enforcement techniques, including litigation, will also be analyzed.
A graduate of the University of Denver, Mr. Bradford is a civil trial attorney with experience as lead counsel in trials involving intellectual property and complex torts. He has handled hundreds of civil matters to successful conclusion, either by jury verdict, court-ordered dismissal, voluntary dismissal or appropriate settlement, all to the satisfaction of the client. He has tried fifteen multi-week jury trials. Most recently, with a month to prepare and without experts, Mr. Bradford secured a $7 million patent infringement verdict for a local Colorado inventor. He was selected as the Denver Bar Association's Young Lawyer of the Year in 2008.
