Six Attorneys Join Lathrop Gage as Associates

Joel Voran, CEO of Lathrop Gage LLP, announced today that Ashley Atwell, Colleen Graham, Kristen Ellis Johnson, Michael Lee, Thyannda Mack, and Eric Weslander have joined the firm as associates.

Ms. Atwell works in the Kansas City, Mo., office, focusing in the business litigation practice area. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Miami in 2001, her masters in 2005, and her juris doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 2008. She is a member of the Missouri Bar Leadership Academy Class of 2010, KCMBA, and GKCHBA.

Ms. Graham works in the Kansas City, Mo., office in corporate department. In 2005, she received her undergraduate degree from Fordham University and in 2010, she earned her juris doctorate from the Fordham University School of Law. She has had internships with both Forbes.com and New York Stock Exchange.

Ms. Johnson will be located in the Kansas City, Mo., office, concentrating in the environmental practice area. She received her undergraduate degree from William Jewell College in 2005 and her juris doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 2010. Along with Lathrop Gage LLP, Johnson has worked with the Christian Foundation for Children and Aging, Bartlett & Company, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Mr. Lee will work in the Kansas City, Mo., office, focusing in the business litigation department. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas in 2003, his graduate degree from Chicago Theological Seminary in 2007, and his juris doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2010. He has been an intern for the DEPTH Youth Program and United States Attorney’s Office.

Ms. Mack will practice in the Kansas City, Mo., office, concentrating in the IP Litigation practice area. She received her undergraduate degree from Iowa State University in 2006 and her juris doctorate from the University of Iowa School of Law in 2010. She was a Hubbard fellow, community Service Co-chair of Black Law Student Association, Treasurer of the Asian American Law Student Alliance, and was part of The Charles Hamilton Houston Institute of Advocacy Project.

Mr. Weslander works in the Kansas City, Mo., office in the environmental department. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas in 1999 and his juris doctorate from Washburn University School of Law in 2010. He was the recipient of the Shamberg Scholarship, the Cossman Freshman Scholarship Award, and the Romano-Drill Scholarship. Additionally, he has been a reporter for The Courier-Journal, Tucson Citizen, and Lawrence Journal-World/Channel 6 News.
