Lathrop Gage Announces Nine New Associates

Kansas City, Mo. (September 16, 2008) – Joel Voran, CEO of Lathrop Gage L.C. announced today that Erin E. Clark, John “Andy” Crossett, Clay V. Fulghum, Kathryn “Kate” O’Hara Gasper, Marceda M. Hill-Starks, Alison M. Kelly, Jennifer M. McAdam, Jessica Rosell and Danielle N. Twait have joined the firm as associates.

Clark works in the Overland Park, Kan., office concentrating her practice in the business litigation department. She received her undergraduate degree from Texas Christian University in 2005 and her juris doctor from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in 2008. Clark received the Johnson County Youth Volunteer of the Year Award in 2001.

Crossett works in the Kansas City, Mo., office concentrating his practice in the real estate department. He received his undergraduate degree from Truman State University in 2005 and his juris doctor from University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law in 2008. Crossett was an associate member of Missouri Law Review, Law School Honor Code Committee member, Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Sigma Alpha, President, 2004-2005, Beta Theta Pi and Order of the Coif. Fulghum works in the Kansas City, Mo., office concentrating his practice in the labor and employment department. Fulghum received his undergraduate degree from Washington University in 2005 and his juris doctor from the University of Texas School of Law in 2008. He participated in the Spanish Study Abroad Program at Carlos III University in Madrid, Spain in 2004. He was the recipient of the W. Page Keeton Scholarship, 2005-2008, a Texas Law Fellowships Fellow in 2006 and a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Gasper works in the Kansas City, Mo., office concentrating her practice in the business litigation department. She received her undergraduate degree from Kansas State University in 2005 and her juris doctor from The University of Kansas School of Law in 2008. She was a Note & Comment Editor for the Kansas Law Review and a member of the KU National Trial Competition Team. Gasper received the Payne & Jones Lawyering Award for Research and Writing and was the recipient of the Claude O. Conkey Memorial Scholarship.

Hill-Starks works in the Kansas City, Mo., office concentrating her practice in the wealth strategies department. She received her undergraduate degree from American Intercontinental University in 2004 and her juris doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2008. She was a member of the Mock Trial Board and Black Law Student Association and a Grade Appeals Magistrate. She was the recipient of the Thomas M. Cooley Law School Honors Scholarship (2005-2008).

Kelly works in the Kansas City, Mo., office concentrating her practice in intellectual property litigation. She served as law clerk to the Honorable Gary W. Lynch, Missouri Court of Appeals for the Southern District, 2007 and 2008. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2002 and her juris doctor from DePaul University College of Law in 2006. Kelly also received a Certificate in Information Technology Intellectual Property in 2006. Kelly is a member of The Missouri Bar. She was a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the DePaul/LCA Journal of Art & Entertainment Law and the DePaul Technology Intellectual Property Clinic and was the secretary of the Student Bar Association from 2004-2005.

McAdam works in the Kansas City, Mo., office concentrating her practice in the insurance department. She served as law clerk to the Honorable Ronald Holliger, Missouri Court of Appeals 2007 and 2008. McAdam received her undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas in 2000 and her juris doctor from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2007 with concentrations in Litigation and Constitutional Law. She received the National Association of Women Lawyers Outstanding Graduate Award and the Charles H. Revson Law Student Public Interest Fellowship. McAdam is a member of the American Bar Association, Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City, Kansas Bar Association, Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, The Missouri Bar, National Association of Women Lawyers and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.

Rosell works in the Kansas City, Mo., office concentrating her practice in the environmental department. She received her undergraduate degree from Trinity University in 2005 and her juris doctor from Washington University School of Law in 2008. Rosell was an editorial board member of the Washington University Journal of Law and Policy, was the Student Director for the Public Service Advisory Board, an Officer for the Christian Legal Society, a recipient of the Equal Justice Works Award and a member of Phi Beta Kappa Society.

Twait works in the St. Louis, Mo., office concentrating her practice in the corporate department. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in 2005 and her juris doctor from Washington University School of Law in 2008. She is a member of the American Bar Association and American Health Lawyers Association. Twait was a member and editor of the Washington University Law Review.
