Joseph Reid Announced as President of Foundation for Springfield Public Schools
Lathrop Gage attorney Joseph Reid (Tort Litigation - Springfield) was announced as president of The Foundation for Springfield Public Schools last week, as the organization presented its new slate of officers for the 2010-2011 year.
Mr. Reid will be joined by Tracy Barnas of UMB Bank, as president-elect; Beau Barrett of Kirkpatrick, Phillips and Miller CPAs, treasurer; Jana Bachus, community volunteer and former teacher, secretary; Allen Kunkel of Jordan Valley Innovation Center, past president.
The Foundation for Springfield Public Schools began in 1990 as a volunteer organization to provide financial resources for educational enrichment over and above the daily operational needs of the Springfield Public School District. Since its inception the Foundation has raised more than $12 million to support Springfield Public Schools.
Mr. Reid is an experienced litigator, having practiced civil litigation since 1995. He concentrates his practice on defending clients in business/commercial, personal injury, product liability, medical negligence, wrongful death, insurance bad faith defense, contract, and premises liability matters. A graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law, Mr. Reid has represented clients throughout Missouri and Mississippi.
