PBS News Hour Features Jack Craft in Special Program on U.S. Economy
Lathrop & Gage attorney Jack Craft (Government Relations - Kansas City) was a featured participant in a special program dedicated to the current U.S. economy, in which Ben Bernanke answered questions from him and fellow LINC Commissioner Rob Givens. LINC (Local Investment Commission) is a Kansas City-based nonprofit organization aimed at creating a new community governance model driven by the direct involvement of citizens.
Mr. Bernanke, Chairman of the Federal Reserve, answered questions from Mr. Craft and Mr. Givens on the effect of foreclosed properties on an economic recovery, and other economic factors during the current recession. Mr. Givens is CEO of the member-owned, not-for-profit Mazuma Credit Union. Mr. Craft was the Vice Chair for the Bistate II Initiative and the Campaign Chairman and Treasurer of the Missouri Think Big Committee in 2004, a high-profile bi-state project. More recently he worked together with many organizations, including DST, the Internal Revenue Service and the Post Office, to negotiate the development of a new IRS Service Center in the former Main Post Office space in Kansas City.
PBS News Hour is in its 30th year of production, and remains the flagship news program of the Public Broadcasting Service. Click here to view the forum from the July 28 program in full.
