Lathrop Gage Adds Bankruptcy Attorney to Kansas City Office

Kansas City, MO. (March 13, 2018) – Lathrop Gage is pleased to welcome associate Benjamin Struby to the firm’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Creditors’ Rights team in the Kansas City office.  

Struby focuses his practice on bankruptcy, restructuring and creditors’ rights. He represents clients in state and federal courts in title insurance claims, breach of contract, suits on note, collections, tax sales, lien priority, condemnation/eminent domain, residential and commercial evictions and commercial real estate purchases.

Struby has represented creditors in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 Bankruptcy proceedings and assisted clients with sales and rental managements of foreclosed properties. In addition, he assists loan servicing clients in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.

He has served as a member of the Attorney Advisory Committee for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Missouri since 2016. He holds State Court memberships in Missouri, Kansas and Kentucky.

Struby is a frequent author and speaker on legal elements related to foreclosure, consumer bankruptcies, and evictions.

Struby received his juris doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and a B.A. in English from Doane College.
