Lathrop Gage Promotes Patent Agent to Associate


BOSTON (Aug. 5, 2014) - Lathrop Gage LLP announced today that Christopher D. Southgate, Ph.D. joins the firm’s intellectual property practice as an associate.

Southgate, a former patent agent for the firm, has more than eight years of law firm experience in drafting and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications in the field of molecular and cellular biology. He also brings with him more than 10 years of post-graduate experience including Harvard University and the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Southgate attended the University of Zurich, Switzerland where he received his Ph.D in molecular biology and earned his juris doctor from American University Washington College of Law.
