Blaine Kimrey Receives Pro Bono Award
CHICAGO (April 30, 2012) – The United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, in conjunction with the Chicago Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, has selected Lathrop & Gage partner Blaine Kimrey (Business Litigation – Chicago) to receive an Award for Excellence in Pro Bono Service. The award will be presented at the 13th annual Excellence in Pro Bono and Public Interest Service Award Ceremony at 3 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2012 at the Everett McKinley Dirksen United States Courthouse in Chicago, Ill.
The awards ceremony will feature keynote speaker Fern B. Bomchill, president of the Federal Bar Association. Kimrey was nominated for the award by U.S. District Judge Joan Lefkow.
Kimrey is the chair of the firm's Digital Privacy & Data Protection Group and concentrates his practice in class action and commercial litigation, media law and intellectual property. He was honored by Chambers USA in 2011, and is the founding and managing partner of the firm’s Chicago office.
