Blaine Kimrey Speaking at Crittenden Middle Market Accounts Conference
CHICAGO (July 26, 2011) – Lathrop & Gage partner Blaine Kimrey (Business Litigation – Chicago) will speak at the Crittenden Middle Market Accounts Conference at 2:30 p.m. on Monday Sept. 12 at the Westin Michigan Avenue in Chicago.
Kimrey’s session is titled “Your Data, Their Fault, Your Liability.” Along with Erich Bublitz, technology practice leader for ThinkRisk Underwriting Agency, Ed Antonucci, senior vice president/broker for Swett & Crawford Group, and Rodney Caudle, senior consultant for Semke Forensic, Kimrey will discuss trends and liabilities from outsourcing technology, data management and marketing functions; what can go wrong with these outsourcing relationships and how it can affect an insured’s business; vendor selection and management and the role of indemnification agreements; and the role of technology errors and omissions, media and security/privacy insurance when outsourcing. This is Crittenden’s first Middle Market Accounts Conference and is geared toward insurance brokers, agents and companies that provide insurance to middle market accounts.
Kimrey is the chair of the firms’ Digital Privacy & Data Protection Group and concentrates his practice in class action and commercial litigation, media law and intellectual property. He was honored by Chambers USA in 2011, and is the managing partner of the firm’s Chicago office.
