Allison Bergman Selected Among Missouri’s “Lawyers of the Year”
The world’s largest three-level railway flyover was finished in Kansas City in 2007, but Lathrop & Gage Partner Allison Bergman mopped up the details this year.
Bergman is general counsel for the Kansas City Terminal Railway Co., a consortium of five major U.S. railroads that handles the greatest volume of freight rail traffic in the United States. She helped the consortium tackle the contracts and regulatory requirements for the Argentine Connection Skyway. The 9,300-foot flyover has three levels of railroad track and elevates BNSF’s east-west transcontinental route over other tracks to the terminal’s main tracks. The flyover and the Highline Bridge, rehabilitated in connection with the construction of the flyover project, also connect Union Pacific tracks from Kansas City, Kan., to Missouri. Read more ...
