Shelly Freeman Collaborates with U.S. Delegation in China/U.S. Program
Shelly Freeman (HROI - Kansas City) will serve as a delegate along with a contingent of fellow business leaders and representatives from the Kansas City community as part of the Edgar Snow Symposium, an annual program that explores international business relations and Chinese-American relations. Ms. Freeman will help lead the October 16 panel discussion between U.S. and China delegates on entrepreneurship and small business.
The symposium is co-sponsored by the Bloch School of Business at the University of Missouri - Kansas City, and will take place in China. This year's theme is "Exchange Cooperation - Advance Harmoniously." Ms. Freeman will add insights to other delegates and audience members regarding challenges that are unique to Western companies employing a workforce in China, and also HR issues that are unique to Chinese small businesses that may differ from challenges faced by American entrepreneurs.
Other Edgar Snow Symposium panelists have included China's ambassadors to the U.S., American ambassadors to China, international business executives and government leaders. The ten-day program offers American delegates a chance to experience the culture first-hand and to share knowledge about their respective areas of expertise with an international audience.
