Lathrop & Gage partner David Aronoff (Intellectual Property - Los Angeles) will help present "The Nuts and Bolts of Intellectual Property" at the Los Angeles County Bar Association's new conference center in downtown Los Angeles, May 14 at 3 p.m. The program will address the fundamentals of intellectual property law from a practitioner's perspective.

The basics of trademark, patent, and copyright law, along with related causes of action such as the right of publicity, trade secrets, and unfair competition, will be presented during this informative afternoon program. Mr. Aronoff will specifically be addressing Unfair Competition and Trade Secrets.

Fellow panelists for this afternoon program include: Jonathan Hyman, Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP (Trademarks); Thomas Runk, Fulwider Patton LLP (Patents); Carole Handler, Wildman, Harrold, Allen & Dixon LLP (Copyrights); and Jay Dougherty, Loyola Law School (Right of Publicity). Held at LACBA's new state-of-the-art conference center downtown, this program will also provide attendees with the opportunity to talk to the speakers at the cocktail reception immediately following the program.
