Experience
Deputy Chief Hearing Examiner, Missouri Public Service Commission, 1982-87.
While at the Missouri Public Service Commission, Mr. DeFord presided over cases involving virtually all aspects of public utility operations.
Since entering private practice, Paul has handled numerous matters involving electric, gas, telecommunications and transportation issues.
He served as lead counsel for AT&T on all Missouri regulatory matters from 1987 to present.
In addition, he has represented gas, electric, steam and water utility companies as well as various industrial customers in contested case proceedings and other transactions over the same period.
