KANSAS CITY, Mo. (October 19, 2007) — Dan Cranshaw, an associate in the firm's Kansas City, Mo., office, has been selected as a top performing law associate of color in the United States by Stakeholders, Inc. Mr. Cranshaw will be recognized for top performance and leadership at the Stakeholders 100 award ceremony in Orlando, Fla., on November 8.

Just 100 award recipients across the country were chosen by a national selection committee of general counsel. Honorees participate in the annual Stakeholder Academy, an intensive two-day training session at which they receive personalized instruction in leadership, performance enhancement and career development, by being paired up with General Counsel leaders and other professionals. These combinations are then extended for a full year as a mentoring relationship. Mr. Cranshaw's practice focuses on counseling individuals and businesses in litigated and non-litigated disputes such as breach of contract matters, loan enforcement actions, construction matters, insurance disputes, regulatory matters, business torts, professional liability and personal injury matters. He also handles complex commercial litigation involving premises liability, wrongful death, toxic tort, workers' compensation, contract claims, merchandizing acts and insurance coverage disputes.

He has successfully resolved claims for individual and corporate clients through alternative dispute resolution, including a favorable settlement of a significant breach of contract dispute. In addition to his litigation experience, Mr. Cranshaw is well-versed in the development and execution of discovery motion strategies and case management techniques. He works on national trial teams, where he plays an integral role in pre-trial discovery and investigation.
