Lathrop & Gage Announces Seven New Associates

Kansas City, Mo. (September 18, 2007) Joel Voran, CEO of Lathrop & Gage L.C. announced today that Devin W. Blackburn, Lindsay A. Blevins, Chad E. Blomberg, Angela M. Brouse, Benjamin C. Hassebrock, Brandy L. Rea and Kristen V. Toner have joined the firm as associates.
Blackburn works in the Kansas City, Mo., office concentrating her practice on tax & employee benefits. She received her undergraduate degree from Florida State University in 2003 and her juris doctorate from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2007. Blackburn received the Rickert Award for Excellence in Legal Writing, the Lincoln Law Scholarship and received an award for Outstanding Service from the Black Law Students Association.
Blevins works in the Denver, Co., office concentrating her practice in the business disputes law group. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Denver in 2004 in International Business and her juris doctorate from the University of Denver College of Law in 2007. She was a member of the Pioneer Leadership Program, Gamma Phi Beta International Sorority and won first place in the Susan B. Anthony Oral Advocacy Competition.
Blomberg works in the Kansas City, Mo., office concentrating his practice in the tort litigation practice area. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Central Missouri in 2000 and his juris doctorate from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law in 2007. Blomberg was a Board of Regents Scholar at the University of Central Missouri.
Brouse works in the Kansas City, Mo., office concentrating her practice in the labor & employment practice area. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2001 and her juris doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 2007. Brouse participated in Moot Court and was a Note & Comment Editor for the UMKC Law Review.
Hassebrock works in the Kansas City, Mo., office in the business disputes law group. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa in 2001 and his juris doctorate from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law in 2007. Hassebrock was a Note & Comment Editor for the Missouri Law Review.
Rea works in the Overland Park, Ks., office in the corporate and general business law group. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2004 and her juris doctorate from Creighton University School of Law in 2007. Rea was a Moot Court participant and a member of the Creighton Law Review.
Toner works in the Kansas City, Mo., office in the corporate and general business practice area. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in 2001 and her juris doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2006. Toner was a Note and Comment Editor for the University of Kansas Law Review.
