Matthew A. Jacober Joins Lathrop & Gage as an Associate

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (March 29, 2007) -- Matthew A. Jacober joined the St. Louis office of the Lathrop & Gage L.C. law firm as an associate in the tort litigation practice area. He will focus his practice on toxic tort litigation, primarily asbestos and benzene litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, Jacober was a senior litigation associate in a medium sized firm. Jacober also served as a panel attorney for the Criminal Justice Act on the Criminal Justice Panel for the Eastern District of Missouri. He served as law clerk for Judge Frederick J. Hess of the Illinois Court of Claims from 1998 – 2001.

Jacober earned his bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University in Political Science in 1994, and his juris doctorate from The John Marshall Law School in 1998. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, The Missouri Bar, American Trial Lawyers Association and the Criminal Justice Society. He was selected by Editor-in-Chief, Bryan A. Garner, to Panel of Practicing Contributors of Black’s Law Dictionary, Abridged Eighth Edition in 2005.
