U.S. District Court of Kansas Considers Adopting Local Patent Rules

11/22/2016

The United States District Court of Kansas is considering adopting rules that would formalize the way in which patent cases are litigated in Kansas. As proposed, these rules would make Kansas a more attractive venue for patent enforcement.

Lathrop Gage intellectual property partners Dave Barnard and Cameron Garrison recently spoke with the Kansas City Business Journal about these proposed rules and their potential impact. You can read their thoughts here.

The U.S. District Court of Kansas is accepting comment on the rule changes through Saturday, November 26. If you or your business has any interest in the patent enforcement process in Kansas, we urge you to review the rule changes on the Court’s website and submit comments.
