Experience
Mr. Ferguson focuses on employment litigation and counsels school districts and employers on day-to-day employment issues including evaluations, discipline, hiring, firing and non-compete agreements. He has conducted numerous investigations and successfully defended charges of age, sex, race, color, national origin, religion and disability discrimination. Mr. Ferguson has extensive litigation experience defending employers against claims of wrongful termination, ADA, sexual harassment, retaliation and Title VII discrimination. His litigation practice frequently takes him before the EEOC, the Kansas Human Rights Commission, the Missouri Human Rights Commission and he has substantial experience in State and Federal Courts, as well as all forms of alternative dispute resolution.
Appointed by Kansas Governor Bill Graves as part-time Special Administrative Law Judge, Division of Workers' Compensation, 1995-2003.
