Matthew L. Faul
Mr. Faul focuses his practice in real estate and commercial litigation. He regularly represents multinational clients in a broad range of real estate litigation matters including foreclosures, alternative workout arrangements, deed-in-lieu agreements, eminent domain actions, contract and construction disputes, mechanic’s liens, real estate development disputes, and contract negotiations. Mr. Faul also has experience in debt restructuring and in documenting and closing real estate transactions and loan sale agreements.
Mr. Faul also has eight years of professional experience in corporate financial management. Prior to beginning his legal career, Mr. Faul served as a corporate finance manager for a Fortune 50 consumer products company, a global life sciences company, and an internet search engine.
Mr. Faul’s representative experience:
- Acted as lead trial counsel for lenders and special servicers in successful loan enforcement and foreclosure actions concerning more than $75 million in commercial property.
- Represented multinational oil and gas company in eminent domain actions in Missouri and Kansas; successfully obtained pipeline easements upon more than 40 parcels of land.
- Lead counsel for seller in $2.5 million real estate transaction.
- Lead counsel for medical group in purchase of $1.6 million medical office condominium suite.
- Lead counsel representing gas producers and pipeline owners in oil and gas lease disputes.
- Commercial litigation experience in a variety of industries, including: construction, energy, telecommunications, property management, and retail.
