Katherine Hollar

Ms. Hollar develops and executes marketing communications and business development initiatives that accelerate the firm’s growth strategy. As chief marketing officer, she partners with the Executive Committee and other firm leaders and is a member of the Alternative Fee and Diversity and Inclusion committees.

Ms. Hollar initiated the firm’s client feedback program, now in its fourth year. She is active in the selection process of interviewees and each year personally conducts a selective number of these interviews.

During her tenure as CMO, Ms. Hollar also has launched business development training, a new ad campaign, an experience management program, a weekly internal newsletter and a new website, which was recognized by the Web Marketing Association as outstanding in the legal and professional services categories. Her team has earned industry recognition for collateral materials, internal programming and special event planning.

She is currently working on the firm’s first alumni relations program and is quoted on technology and generational issues in the marketing best-seller How to Market to People Not Like You.

A former reporter, Ms. Hollar has a thorough understanding of newsworthiness, deadlines and news cycles. She covered the legal beat for the Kansas City Business Journal, served as a crime reporter for the Lawrence (Kan.) Journal-World and had internships at the Associated Press and The Kansas City Star. In 2002, she won an Eagle Award for Most Outstanding Feature Story across American City Business Journals’ chain of more than 40 business weeklies.
