Carly Duvall

Ms. Duvall’s insurance practice is diverse as it includes handling both coverage and ERISA disputes. Her multifaceted experience enables her to assess and expeditiously resolve disputes.

Coverage experience:

Ms. Duvall’s professional experience includes assisting corporate policyholders in handling and litigating a broad range of insurance disputes. Her ability to assess the unique risks that come with insurance coverage disputes have enabled her to assist in obtaining dismissal of a pending coverage action brought by an insurer within weeks of filing.

ERISA experience:  

Ms. Duvall devotes a portion of her practice to life, health and disability insurance defense, and ERISA pension benefit claims.  Most recently, Ms Duvall was a member of the litigation team representing Union Security before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit in Charles Green v. Union Security Insurance Co., a 3-0 reversal of the lower court which validated the claims procedure and administration used by Union Security.
