Real Estate – Tax Credit Associate: St. Louis, MO

Lathrop Gage LLP, a national firm with 10 offices and more than 250 attorneys, is actively seeking a real estate transactional or tax associate with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our tax credit group in our St. Louis office.

The associate would work on a wide range of transactions involving federal and state tax credits, with a focus on federal new markets tax credits, federal low-income housing tax credits, federal renewable energy tax credits and federal historic rehabilitation tax credits. The ideal candidate will have real estate transactional, finance or general tax experience with knowledge of partnership tax. Experience with tax credit transactions and government incentive programs would be a plus, but not a requirement.

IP Electrical Patent Associate: Boulder, CO

The successful candidate will work closely with the attorneys, patent agents and technical specialists to draft patent applications over a wide range of technologies, prosecute patent applications in the United States and in other jurisdictions, and interact with inventors and clients worldwide.  

A solid knowledge base in the areas of electrical engineering and computer science is required, and knowledge of the Internet of Things is valuable. Candidates should have excellent academic credentials, strong writing and communication skills, practical critical-thinking skills, and the desire and ability to work across various technologies.

Life Sciences Intellectual Property Associate: Boston, MA

Lathrop Gage, a national firm with 10 offices and more than 250 attorneys, is actively seeking an Associate to join our Life Sciences Intellectual Property Group in Boston.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a rapidly growing office and practice group and work closely with senior practitioners on a wide variety of patent prosecution matters.

Work will include preparation and prosecution of patent applications, IP due diligence, patent portfolio management and general intellectual property counseling for clients ranging from start-up entrepreneurs to large biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies and research institutions.

We are looking for bright and dedicated individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Strong scientific backgrounds, preferably a Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a relevant life sciences discipline (e.g., molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, immunology).
  • Outstanding writing and analytical skills are essential.
  • Have strong technical skills and excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Are creative and detail-oriented, with superior organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Enjoy working both independently and as a member of a team, in a cutting-edge environment.
  • USPTO registration and state bar membership required.
