Brandy L. Rea

Ms. Rea focuses her practice in healthcare law, concentrating on advising clients in the healthcare industry on various contractual, corporate governance, and management issues. She has drafted and negotiated numerous complex contractual arrangements on behalf of healthcare clients, including the negotiation of  physician employment agreements, various healthcare provider independent contractor arrangements, hospital management agreements, and other agreements between healthcare entities, healthcare providers, insurance companies and benefit managers. Ms. Rea assists healthcare entities on various corporate governance matters, including drafting bylaws, risk management policies and procedures, and other internal management documents for healthcare entities and medical staff in compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements.

Ms. Rea has experience in healthcare entity mergers and acquisitions. She recently worked with a major regional hospital to facilitate the acquisition of a physician practice group and handled the drafting of various complex agreements, resulting in a successful and seamless acquisition.

Ms. Rea also has experience counseling pharmacies and pharmacy benefit managers with respect to contractual issues and compliance with regulatory requirements. Recently, Ms. Rea successfully assisted a regional pharmacy benefit manager in the drafting and negotiation of new pharmacy services agreements to better its contractual relationships with its clients.

Ms. Rea also puts her skill set to work for corporate clients with respect to the formation of business entities, changes and management of contractual relationships, asset and stock acquisitions and dispositions, mergers and other fundamental business changes. In the course of Ms. Rea’s corporate experience, she also handles general real estate matters as part of corporate transactions. 

Ms. Rea resides in Overland Park, Kansas with her husband, Michael, son, Brody, and Yorkshire Terriers, Teddy and Grizzly.
