Amy Loth Allen

Amy Loth Allen is a partner in the business litigation department at Lathrop & Gage. Ms. Allen is experienced in a wide array of commercial litigation matters, including business tort claims, false advertising, insurance coverage disputes, breach of contract, non-compete and non-piracy agreements, and trade secrets through all phases of litigation. She has first chair experience in litigation matters for both plaintiff and defendant in state and federal courts throughout the country. Ms. Allen represents clients in a variety of industries, including light industrial staffing, advertising, insurance brokerage, plastics manufacturing, wig and hair product manufacturing, aircraft parts manufacturing, real estate property management, and construction, among others.

In addition to her business litigation practice, Ms. Allen handles employment litigation and provides counseling for employers on a wide range of human resources and employment issues. She has successfully defended employers in a variety of employment litigation matters including claims for discrimination, harassment, Family Medical Leave Act, wrongful discharge, covenants not to compete, and retaliation. Her employment law experience also includes substantial practice before the EEOC, various state human rights commissions, and other administrative agencies. Ms. Allen has conducted a number of employment-related client presentations involving both manager- and employee-level training, as well as having reviewed and prepared employee handbooks and contracts for clients.
